The editorial team of Afroglobe is divided into two parts: an editorial board and a scientific board.
Editorial Board
The editorial board is composed of 6 members (including the executive director). It works with the support of the scientific committee and a coordinator. Its role is to solicit contributions and special issue editors. All members of the editorial board are responsible for the evaluation of articles and any other contributions of this type, following the work done in external evaluation. They oversee the preparation and publication of issues and strive to meet the agreed-upon schedule. They make use of expert evaluations on an anonymous basis (double-blind evaluation). They promote each issue in the relevant scientific networks. The members of the editorial board serve renewable three-year terms. Articles submitted by the board members or members of the Scientific Board must also go through the same evaluationprocess as any other contribution. During the evaluation of articles by members of the editorial board, the rules of conflict of interest apply and the members concerned stay out of the process.

Scientific Board
The Scientific Board, in close collaboration with the Editorial Board, is the guarantor of the journal's orientations and scientific credibility. Its members are chosen according to their authority in the fields of research they represent. As such, they contribute to the life of the journal: they may be asked to evaluate articles; they may initiate special issues or request collaborations. In any case, they help the journal to fulfill its mandate and work towards its outreach. After their appointment, the members of the scientific committee keep their status as long as they wish to work for the journal.
