Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The number of sections is of course left to the authors' choice; no length is prescribed for the article.

The template for bibliographic references is (author date); the references given in the template are only examples showing the desired formatting. Footnotes should be the exception. However, hyperlinks are welcome. Important: any mention, even allusive, of an author or a work in the text must be followed by an abbreviated bibliographic indication in the form (Author year, page) and included in the bibliography at the end of the article with all the references.

You may add abstracts in as many languages as you wish, at the time of submission or during the review process. If necessary, the journal will help you find translators.

Short abstracts (100-150 words) are intended to draw readers' attention to your article, while long abstracts (500-1000 words) should present the essence of the argument for those who cannot or do not want to read the full text, either for linguistic reasons or because of lack of time. These long summaries should be readable by the general public.

Critical Reviews
