Abstract

In 2010 in the province of Quebec, a cultural mediation project allowed around twenty elders to develop and produce various televisual clips with the help of specialists. This pilot project was the subject of a pre-post intervention evaluation by professionals using the focus group method as a technique of data acquisition. This study allowed us to observe positive repercussions on these practitioners both on their professional and personal life. Their participation in this project allowed them to detect and put into practice their capacities of intervention in a cultural environment, along with their skills to face changes. Following their contact with active and creative elders, they also modified their perception of old age, as well as their misgivings pertaining to their own ageing.
