Investigación sobre espacios de participación ciudadana: análisis y propuestas desde una perspectiva educativa

This article presents the progress of a research project which analyzes, in an educational perspective, different spaces of citizen participation. Besides characterizing the appropriate meaning of active citizenship and the relation between this concept and that of participation, the authors proceed to the analysis of spaces of participation which frame the reflection and the exercise of active citizenship and in which participation develops and shows itself. After the elaboration of a mapping of the spaces of participation (physical and virtual, institutional and social) in the context of the city of Madrid (Spain), some were selected to realize case studies according to a qualitative approach. At the end of the proceedings, the authors formulate educational proposals around participation, in collaboration with the informers of the project.
