Le développement et la validation psychométrique d’une échelle de mesure de la maturité à la sobriété numérique
Abstract
Given the environmental impact of technology, which is often underestimated, educational initiatives aimed at raising awareness of digital sobriety and ecofriendly digital practices have emerged. This article presents the development and psychometric validation of a Digital Sobriety Maturity Scale (DSMS), which assesses both the sense of competence (digital, ecological, and in terms of digital sobriety) and citizens’ eco-responsible digital behaviors. This tool was developed in two phases: the first involved an in-depth literature review and the second combined item reduction through principal component analysis (PCA), and component validation using Cronbach’s alpha coefficients. This scale may serve as a relevant assessment tool to self-evaluate one’s digital sobriety maturity at an individual level or for educational purposes related to digital sobriety.
